Affected by Cancer?
The holidays are coming…along with expectations to do it all and make it look easy. It is a challenging time of year to prioritize our own wellbeing. Yet the overwhelming statistic remains: 2 in 5 Canadians are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Many of us are managing a diagnosis or are caregiving for someone with cancer along with everything else this busy season brings….and it is difficult.
In response to your feedback, we have partnered with the amazing Rosie Coelho on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00 pm, to gather in a safe confidential space to share these experiences, and process all that we are managing. Rosie is currently completing her cancer doula certification and has found deep meaning through her own cancer journey. Rosie walks alongside people impacted by cancer - patients and caregivers alike – to help them navigate the emotional rollercoaster, access practical resources, speak up for their needs, and feel less alone by connecting with others who truly get it.
Please forward this invitation to anyone you feel might benefit from a supportive gathering. While the world continues to rush around us, let’s take a calm moment to prioritize our own care and to be there for one another.
