Support Through Life’s Challenges
Structure of Sessions
We create a space that is full of compassion and curiosity and free of judgement. Facilitators provide the framework for the discussion. They establish the trust needed so that participants can feel comfortable speaking honestly with one another. Through true listening, connection begins to flow. Participants soon realize they can learn from—and lean on—one another.
Our one-hour groups of 8-15 participants run for 3, 6 or 8 sessions. Participants can be placed in a group or can sign up with others who are facing similar challenges. Corporate groups are designed alongside the partner organization to best meet the needs of its employees.

We specialize in addressing issues such as mental health and emotional well-being, employee burnout and stress, workplace change, cohesion and culture, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, employee satisfaction, navigating life transitions, grief, and parenting and caregiver support. Groups are virtual, but we are open to designing an in-person group.

Q: “What causes teen anxiety?”
A: (teacher) “EVERYTHING!”
We work with many schools to provide support groups that help young people feel less alone. We collaborate with school staff to meet the needs of their students. While most groups are designed around the common stresses that students experience, we are also able to lead specific groups around bullying, academic challenges, peer pressure, prepping for new schools and feelings of isolation. We can hold sessions during school, after school and virtually.

Why TLC Groups are Needed
Research underscores the real need for greater support in tackling the challenges faced by organizations—employees are feeling disempowered by economic pressures; disengagement in the workplace is on the rise; and issues of loneliness and mental health are escalating. Partnering with us will help you to:
boost employee engagement
improve psychological safety
encourage employees to collaborate to unlock solutions
increase employee retention
build a shared identity through celebrating diversity and building collective resilience
create programming, education and training including for events such as International Women’s Day, Blue Monday, Back to School, Mental Health Awareness Month, etc.
“The most valuable part of these discussions was the openness and the comradery formed by strangers after weeks of meeting. We became friends and shared very personal experiences that will help us all to grow. The friendships and the trust garnered in these sessions cannot be explained in mere words but have made a lasting, positive imprint in my life.”
—Elaine Bernard, Senior Development Officer, Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation
